"Library dependency not found" with lib/xyz.jar or client/xya.jar when JON tries to monitor JBoss instance

Issue

  • The JBossAS resource displays on JON admin console server is the red exclamation mark. The exceptions on JON agent logs are

    INFO  [ResourceContainer.invoker.daemon-2] (org.mc4j.ems.connection.ConnectionFactory)- Library dependency not found lib/jboss-jmx.jar
    INFO  [ResourceContainer.invoker.daemon-2] (org.mc4j.ems.connection.ConnectionFactory)- Connection library dependency [lib/jboss-jmx.jar] not found  in directory: JBOSS_HOME)
    INFO  [ResourceContainer.invoker.daemon-2] (org.mc4j.ems.connection.ConnectionFactory)- Library dependency not found client/jboss-common.jard.run(Unknown Source)
    INFO  [ResourceContainer.invoker.daemon-2] (org.mc4j.ems.connection.ConnectionFactory)- Connection library dependency [client/jboss-common.jar] not found  in directory: JBOSS_HOME
    ...

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 4.3

  • JBoss Operation Network (JON) 2.3, 2.4, 3.0, 3.1.x

  • JON agent running as different user to JBoss instance
