  • Why clock speed isn't correct in /proc/cpuinfo? The system has a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 2.93GHz installed, but /proc/cpuinfo shows the following:
$ grep MHz /proc/cpuinfo

cpu MHz : 2933.000
cpu MHz : 1600.000
cpu MHz : 1600.000
cpu MHz : 1600.000
cpu MHz : 2933.000
cpu MHz : 1600.000
cpu MHz : 1600.000
cpu MHz : 1600.000
