New packages automatically installed on newer Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 version

Issue

  • we noticed, that with a clean RHEL6.7 installation several additional packages compared to RHEL6.5 will be installed. Does REHL6.7 need this packages for its core functionality or can we remove them again?
    • busybox
    • kpartx
    • lzo
    • snappy
  • On the other side the package authconfig will not be installed anymore! Where can we find the information about which packages are installed during the kickstart process for each RHEL minor version?
