How to activate/enable RBAC roles in JBoss EAP 6/7?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We need to add a User called testUser to the Role Monitor. So that this user has read-only access to the JBoss EAP Web Console,domain.xml looks like :
    <management>
        <access-control provider="rbac">
            <role-mapping>
                <role name="SuperUser">
                    <include>
                        <user name="$local"/>
                    </include>
                </role>
            </role-mapping>
        </access-control>
    </management>

However, when trying to log into the WebConsole I get.

Access Denied: Insufficient privileges to access this interface.
  • Restrict User to have only the read-only access to the Management Console in EAP.
