SSSD - Sudo is not working

Issue

  • The Active Directory group is listed in the /etc/sudoers file. The user is part of the AD group. Why can't the user run the sudo command?
Sorry, user <user> is not allowed to execute '/sbin/visudo' as root on <server>
  • Can't get sudo to work
  • Active Directory user - sudo command failed

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • Using Active Directory and SSSD
