Issue

Logical Volume Management (LVM) fails to activate and mount when using Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) physical volumes (PVs). The boot process drops into maintenance mode.
The server will hang on boot up / startup waiting for a volume group (VG) to activate whose logical volume (LV) is listed in /etc/fstab. If the troubled LV is commented out, the server boots up just fine. One is then able to mount the LV with no issues.
