What is the overhead using a XA datasource during a JTA trasaction where it's the only resource involved?

• In our application, we have different use cases where JTA transactions are involved with:

  • Datasource A and Jms XA
  • only Datasource A

• If we set Datasource A as a XA Datasource, what is the overhead using it during a JTA transaction where it's the only resource involved ?
