Clients that update via Red Hat Network Proxy get HTTP 404 error code.

Issue

  • When a client tries to install or update packages via RHN Proxy it gets HTTP 404 status code.
# yum install screen
...
Error Downloading Packages:
  screen-4.0.3-4.el5.i386: failed to retrieve getPackage/screen-4.0.3 4.el5.i386.rpm from rhel-i386-server-5
error was [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404: Not Found

  • Red Hat Network Proxy version 5.4.1
