Attempting to extend filesystem in RHEL 7 returns "Bad magic number in super-block"
Issue
- After successfully extending the logical volume, the
resize2fscommand gives below error when attempting to extend the filesystem:
resize2fs: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/voluguu/root
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- XFS filesystem
