Why sound does not work with an exported display ?

Issue

  • Sound does not work when display is exported using below command.
# ssh -X <server name> -n ". /home/<dir>/application.name"
  • Application has sound but, cannot get sound to work on the new RHEL7 machine like it did on RHEL5.
  • Sound works from the OS using system tools menu.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
