Satellite 6 repo sync filled the root file system

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • After installing a new Satellite 6 system, the additional filesystems described in the Installation Guide, such as /var/lib/pulp and /var/lib/mongodb were accidentally not mounted. A large sync operation of RHEL 5 and RHEL 6 content was started. After a few hours, the root file system had filled causing a corrupt Satellite database. Is there something in Satellite that will warn the user if a sync operation will fill the file system?

Environment
