Using EAP 5 and JPA, how do we configure Hibernate to use JBoss Cache 3 CacheManager?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We are trying to implement JPA second level cache in our application.

  • Currently,we only want to enable second level cache in a non-cluster environment, typically a default configuration. We plan to use entity/collection/query(timestamp) all together. We are thinking about ehcache, infinispan, JBossCache. We are pretty interested in Jboss MVCC lock which is available in new jboss cache 3. We like to use JBoss cache because we can extend it to cluster environment easily.

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 5
  • Hibernate
