Not able to change ownership of files
Issue
- As per the application team requirement we need to change the ownership multiple files to user:user from root:root but we are getting below error:-
[rootserver ]# chown user:user *.xxx
bash: /bin/chown: Argument list too long
[root@server ]#

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
