  • How to configure active/passive mode in JBoss EAP 6 High Availability cluster?
  • Is it possible in active/passive mode to start passive cluster automatically when active cluster is down?

Resolution

  • Refer to JBoss EAP 6 Clustering article for sample configuration and guide to configure active/passive clustering.
  • Active/Passive mode means the load balancer will control the traffic flow while the active & passive clusters are both up at the same time. There is no way to start the passive cluster automatically when the active cluster is down, you have to start passive cluster manually.
