JBoss web services call binds to wrong IP on Windows

Issue

  • The web service call using hostname resolves to the wrong IP address.
  • IP address is not static.
  • We use an SSL cert (https call) so it must match the hostname.
  • Debugging shows a socket connection resolving to the VirtualBox IP.

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
  • Windows
