How to create xfs filesystem with custom options during kickstart?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • There does not seem to be any way to provideXFS creation options during installation in kickstart.
  • Kickstart offers the "--fsprofile" option, but that only seems to apply to ext* file systems. As xfs is default file system for RHEL7, we need to have this option for XFS.
  • We should be able to create a XFS filesystem with custom options from the kickstart file as we create it using mkfs command:
mkfs.xfs -i size=512 -n size=8192 -d su=64k,sw=3 /dev/vg_dasd/root

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1
  • anaconda-19.31.111-1.el7
