JON 3.1 bundle pushing to EAP6 deploy.xml causes EAP6 bootup failure

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We tried to push bundles of two applications to EAP6 from JON 3.1, in different directories under standalone/deployment e.g. standalone/deployment/guess/ and standalone/deployment/hello/ and this worked fine - the applications are deployed successfully. However, this deployment creates copies of the recipe file: deploy.xml (which is included in the bundle zip) also in the deployment folder. Due to this, EAP6 fails to boot after we try to restart it following a deployment, as it finds duplicate resources (which are not relevant to EAP6). Also, JON asks twice for the file that needs to be deployed. What is the best way to fix this problem?

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (JON) 3.1
