Red Hat Cluster Suite node is shutting down instead of rebooting with power fencing
Issue
- Cluster node is shutting off but should reboot.
- When fencing a cluster node using power fencing, the node turns off but not back on.
fence_ilofails to reboot node.fence_wtipowers off a node, but does not turn it back on.fence_bladecenterpowers off a node, but does not turn it back on.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 with Red Hat Cluster Suite
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 Update 4 with High Availability Add-Ons
- cman-2.0.115-1.el5 or older
- If using HP Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) 2, iLO2 firmware version 1.70 or later.
- Power fence device
