Can the JBoss EAP shutdown script password be encrypted ?
Issue
- The EAP shutdown script is currently in plain text. Is it possible to have it encrypted ?
-
The JBoss EAP shutdown script authenticates the user as admin and passes the password in the clear.
java -classpath $JBOSS_CP org.jboss.Shutdown -s jnp://localhost:$PORT --shutdown -u admin -p xxxxxxIs there a better way to do this ? If not, could keys be used instead of passing the password to the shell. Someone using 'ps' could see the password.
