When trying to access or remove a file I get the error "mv: cannot stat '[filename]: Input/Output error." What does this mean?

Issue

  • When trying to access or remove a file I get the error:
mv: cannot stat '[filename]: Input/Output error.
  • When trying to execute the command on bash, will get the error:
-bash:/root/.bash_profile: input/output error.
