Non-root users are not able to use the command 'clustat' to check the cluster status.

Issue

  • When trying to monitor the cluster software, the clustat utility returns the error "Could not connect to CMAN: Permission denied". This worked in RHEL4.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 Advanced Platform (Clustering and GFS/GFS2)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6 (with the High Availability and Resilient Storage Add Ons)
