Cluster resources can go to failed state when stopping or starting because of missing pid files

Issue

  • Recovery policy of type restart doesn't work with a service using a resource

  • apache.sh will not stop cleanly if "pkill httpd" is ran

  • mysql resource fails to start or stop cleanly

Enviroment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0+ or 5.0+
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Cluster 4.0+ or 5.0+
  • /etc/init.d/rgmanager is started
