When using NFS to mount a gluster volume, and the fcntl() syscall, the call returns Input/output error

Issue

  • While testing the file locking in a NFS mounted RHS volume, the following error was printed:
>>> fcntl.flock(fh.fileno(), fcntl.LOCK_EX)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
IOError: [Errno 5] Input/output error

Environment

  • Red Hat Storage Server 2.0
  • Client using NFS.
