How to refresh the parent page while closing Richfaces Modal Panel

Issue

I am using Richfaces.hideModalPanel('panel') to close the richmodel panel window. On successfull login attempt I need to close the richfaces model panel window, and then I want to refresh parent window. How can I achieve that?
