Wired 802.1x authenticated interfaces cannot acquire IP addresses via DHCP onboot

Issue

  • The system is unable to acquire an IP address via dhcp on boot when using 802.1x port authentication. Assuming that the /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf file is complete and correct.
