How to replace a war through CLI in EAP 6.x and 7.x?

Issue

• The web-based administration UI allows replacing a war: if the deployment of the new war fails, the previous war is automatically redeployed.
• The CLI appears to support only undeploying and deploying the war so if the deployment fails, the previous version is not put back.
• Is it possible to replace a war through the CLI?
• Since the ear with the same filename already exists in the content repository, I had used --force to deploy but it still threw the error.
