KIE.SESSION queue getting full causing JMS clients unable to post more messages to the queue

Issue

  • Users are invoking the Start Process command for jBPM engine by posting JMS messages through JMS Clients to the KIE.SESSION queue. It is observed on certain environments that the JMS Client application are not able to post messages to this queue, taking forever before timing out. After analysis it is noticed that the queue KIE.SESSION is getting full and there are Bad Messages in the queue. After clearing this queue manually users were able to start the process instances by posting JMS messages to this queue.
