The external script configured for ClusterMon resource is not executed.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have created External-clone resource which uses a script /bin/clusterMon.sh to send event notifications, but the event notifications using external script is not working:

     Clone: External-clone
      Meta Attrs: user=root update=5s extra_options=-E /bin/clusterMon.sh -e 192.168.50.90
      Resource: External (class=ocf provider=pacemaker type=ClusterMon)
       Operations: start interval=0s timeout=20 (SNMP-External-start-timeout-20)
               stop interval=0s timeout=20 (SNMP-External-stop-timeout-20)
               monitor interval=10 timeout=20 (SNMP-External-monitor-interval-10)

  • Launching an external script via ClusterMon resource does not work.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 with High Availability Add-Ons
  • pacemaker
  • ClusterMon resource executing a custom script
