Any image other than Cirros fails with kernel panic

Issue

• When trying to launch a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) guest image obtained from Red Hat's official site, the OS instance fails to boot with a kernel panic.
• Cirros is booting properly
• No other cloud-ready images will boot
• Kernel panics with similar output:
