pcs commands fail in a RHEL High Availability cluster with "No route to host" or other errors indicating it can't connect to another node starting with RHEL 6 Update 6

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • When we updated to RHEL 6 Update 6, pcs commands like pcs cluster setup, pcs cluster start, etc started failing with "No route to host" errors
  • We are getting errors from pcs cluster setup about connecting to another node, where in RHEL 6 Update 5 we had no issues setting the cluster up.
  • Why is pcs trying to connect to another node?
  • How can I configure pcs to connect to pcsd throughout the cluster?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • pcs-0.9.123-9.el6 or later
