QDisk votes are not being registered and quorum device showing offline in RHEL cluster when nodes join

Issue

  • quorum disk is offline although we see in log file:

  • The QDisk votes are not being counted in the cluster, as seen in cman_tool status output
Nodes: 2
Expected votes: 3
Total votes: 2
Node votes: 1
Quorum: 2  
  • The quorum device shows as offline in clustat after the cluster has formed
