Issue

  • Booting system with Boot from San with powerpath, stuck up in below repeating endless loop:
/etc./rc.d/rc.sysinit: line 953: /bin/usleep: Input/output error

  • Tried booting in single user mode and some time the system came up and some time it does not.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8
  • Boot from SAN with powerpath
