rpm installation failed due to %post scriptlet error.
Issue
- Kernel installation failed with following %post scriptlet error while trying to install using yum/rpm command:
Non-fatal POSTIN scriptlet failure in rpm package kernel-2.6.18-308.11.1.el5.i686
error: %post(kernel-version) scriptlet failed, signal 2
when i try to install the updates using below command, it just hang at this point
rpm -ivh gdm-2.16.0-59.el5_9.1.i386.rpm
1:gdm ########################################### [100%]
error: %post(gdm-2.16.0-59.el5_9.1.i386) scriptlet failed, signal 2
