How can I reset my fiber HBA?
Issue
- I would like to know if you know of a way how to reset an HBA.
- After a firmware upgrade of my SAN storage an HBA in my system became unable to discover new LUNs. How to recover from this without rebooting the system?
- On Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 we were using Emulex hbanywhere. Is there a native RHEL6 command with the same functionality as
hbacmd ResetHBA? - Can I use the
sysfsfilesboard_mode,issue_resetorissue_lipto reset my HBA? What are the pro/con arguments?
