Issue

I would like to know if you know of a way how to reset an HBA.
After a firmware upgrade of my SAN storage an HBA in my system became unable to discover new LUNs. How to recover from this without rebooting the system?
On Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 we were using Emulex hbanywhere. Is there a native RHEL6 command with the same functionality as hbacmd ResetHBA?
Can I use the sysfs files board_mode, issue_reset or issue_lip to reset my HBA? What are the pro/con arguments?
