Possibility to configure MRG linear store to throw away the used journal files

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

MRG 3.2 Linear store is able to dynamically allocate journal files from a shared pool to individual queues and return them back to the pool after they are not needed by the original queue anymore. However, reusing the journal files has also some consequences:

  • continuous journal recycling - due to messages not being encrypted, they can be still present in the EFP pool for days until they are rewritten.
  • the journal files containing dequeued messages from customer X can be later reused for a queue of a customer Y. In case of any bugs in the broker, it might happen that the confidential data will be delivered to another customer.

It is therefore preferred if the linear store optionally deletes the used journal files instead of recycling them.
