Issue

  • Japanese keyboard doesn't work correctly with X window system when a lot of devices are attached to the system.
  • For example, this issue actually occurred on the system which has 260 SCSI devices (/dev/sd[a-z]*).

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Using X window system
  • A lot of devices (ex. more than 260 SCSI devices) are attached
  • Using a keyboard of which keyboard layout is 'jp'
