Why is sssd_be showing memory leak in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1?
Issue
- After updating
sssdpackages to the versionsssd-1.12.2-58.el7_1.14.x86_64, We are observing rise in memory consumption bysssd_beprocess. We also observed sssd has had high cpu and memory usage. - To debug this, we ran a simple ssh login script which generates a number of ssh logons to a system. While running this,
sssdcpu usage goes to 99% and memory usage is constantly increasing, up to a point where all memory and swap is consumed. Stopping the ssh loop script does not result in any released memory, only a restart of sssd releases the memory.
Environment
