After updating Pacemaker in RHEL 6.7 pcs status gives the error "Error: Unable to open cluster.conf file to get nodes list"

Issue

After updating to RHEL 6.7 while using a Pacemaker cluster, we receive one or more of the following errors:

$ pcs status
Error: unable to get list of corosync nodes
$ pcs config show
Cluster Name:
Error: Unable to open cluster.conf file to get nodes list
$ pcs cluster status
PCSD Status:
Error: Unable to open cluster.conf file to get nodes list

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.5+ w/ High Availability
  • Pacemaker
