Poodle sendmail

Issue

  • We are implementing the poodle fix for our sendmail and following the document How to disable "SSLv3" in sendmail
  • After making the changes to sendmail.mc and compiling it, when we try to start the service, We get below error.
[root@Desktop mail]# service sendmail start
Starting sendmail: 554 5.0.0 /etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 163: readcf: unknown option name ServerSSLOptions
554 5.0.0 /etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 164: readcf: unknown option name ClientSSLOptions
                                                           [FAILED]
Starting sm-client:                                        [  OK  ]

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5
  • sendmail-cf-8.13.8-8.1.el5_7
  • sendmail-8.13.8-8.1.el5_7
