cpupowerutils and cpufrequtils conflict with each other.

Issue

  • On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7, cpupowerutils and cpufrequtils conflict with each other.For example:
# rpm -q cpupowerutils
cpupowerutils-1.2-7.el6.x86_64

# yum install cpufrequtils
..
Setting up Install Process
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package cpufrequtils.x86_64 0:007-8.el6 will be installed
--> Processing Conflict: cpupowerutils-1.2-7.el6.x86_64 conflicts cpufrequtils
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: cpupowerutils conflicts with cpufrequtils-007-8.el6.x86_64
 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
