How to overcome error message " jenkins dead but pid file exists "
Issue
- Jenkins service is unable to start. After the patch update, the jenkins package also got updated and is showing the below error.
# service jenkins start
Starting Jenkins Jenkins requires Java7 or later, but you are running 1.6.0_30-b30 from /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0.x86_64/jre
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: 50.0 at Main.main(Main.java:90) [ OK ]
