Issue

• I use a RHEL 6 host to generate kickstart files. I'm trying to add a grub2 password, for RHEL7 builds, during kickstart. How do I get this hash in RHEl6?

Resolution

• There is no supported way to generate a GRUB2-compatible hash in RHEL 6

• However, there is a 3rd-party unsupported option available on GitHub:
