To troubleshoot performance issues, sometimes we can see small etimes in the access log. However, full request takes longer than expected.

Sometimes, one operation is activating plenty of "internal operations", that is to say, operations the server is done internally to process some information. Typical case is that a registered plugin could do these requests.

Example: we modify an entry and this is straighforward but if uniqueness attribute plugin is enabled, this plugin can do an internal search that is not shown in access logs and that could be time consuming. The price is a MOD operation that could take long but we don't see the root cause in access logs.
