samba is unable to validate password after successful join

Issue

  • After the join and after the restart of smb and nmb I try to access the share from windows, that one does not work. The log.<client_ip> shows:

  domain_client_validate: unable to validate password for user userXYZ in domain EXAMPLE to Domain controller DC0001. Error was NT_STATUS_INVALID_COMPUTER_NAME.
[2015/07/17 11:50:57.355722,  2] ../auth/gensec/spnego.c:746(gensec_spnego_server_negTokenTarg)
  SPNEGO login failed: NT_STATUS_INVALID_COMPUTER_NAME
  • Computers not in Active Directory can no longer connect to a samba4 domain member server with ldap authentication.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 (RHEL)
  • samba-4.1.12-21.el7_1 up to samba-4.1.12-24.el7_1
