RHEL6: System crashed after netconsole referenced resetting adapter
Issue
- Machine boots and a few seconds after login prompt appears, it crashes an reboots again.
- There is no network access to the machine.
- Console is also dead.
- The machine crashes and generated a Vmcore.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.6
- kernel-2.6.32-504.16.2.el6
- Netconsole
- lldpad
- vmxnet3, bnx2 or ixgbe
- possibly other NIC drivers even without lldpad
