On a virtualized RHEL 6.2 Server with dual VMXNET3 Network Adapters, network adapters do not configure correctly after reboot

Solution Verified - Updated -

  • Virtualized RHEL6.2 Server with dual VMXNET3 Network Adapters - Fails to configure adapters correctly after reboot
  • eth0 Adapter comes up with correct IP Address
  • eth1 fails to initialize or is configured with identical IP Address as eth0
  • Subsequently running the command "service network restart" clears the issue and configures both adapters correctly.
  • /var/log/messages shows adapters are detected as 10Gb by kernel during startup.
