Can't open any documents using LibreOffice, Evince or Acrobat Reader.

Issue

• Unable to open and documents(PDF, ODF, MS Word, Excel, etc) using LibreOffice, Evince or Acrobat Reader.

• Can't open a pdf file in LibreOffice or Evince. Getting errors such as:

  General Error.
  General input/output error.
   OR
  file corrupted 
   OR
  file in use by another user`**:
  

• The "/tmp" file system is based on tmpfs to improve system performance:

  # mount | grep tmpfs| grep /tmp
  tmpfs on /tmp type tmpfs (rw,seclabel)
