RBD image can be listed but not opened

Issue

  • During a recent snapshot rotation an rbd image that shouldn't be there, but seemingly partially there was discovered.
  • RBD image can be listed but not opened:
root@test:/home/pair# rbd ls customer-data | grep test.cdata
test.cdata
root@test:/home/pair# rbd info data/test.cdata
rbd: error opening image test.cdata: 2015-07-06 14:17:06.847099 7f81a473c780 -1 librbd::ImageCtx: error reading immutable metadata: (2) No such file or directory
(2) No such file or directory
root@test:/home/pair# rbd create data/test.cdata --size=1024
rbd: create error: (17) File exists
2015-07-06 14:17:22.745576 7fac593bb780 -1 librbd: rbd image test.cdata already exists
