/usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.5 missing in RHEL7.x

Issue

Dear Sir/Madam,

There is /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.5 on RHEL5.x and 6.x machines but not present on RHEL7.x. This is causing our engineer's CD Regressions to fail.

On RHEL6, I see the compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.x86_64 RPM which contains the libstdc++.so.5.0.7

XXXXXXXXX@XXXXXXXXXXX:/usr/lib64 % rpm -qa | grep -i compat-libstdc
compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.i686
compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.x86_64

But on RHEL7.X, it is missing.

Can you please provide more information as to whether it has been retired on RHEL7 and no longer included? Also, is there a replacement and alternative to this?
