Issue

In the database we are seeing that there are two active sessions of an application that is connected via a datasource , but when JBoss consult statistics for this datasource tells me that there are 12 active sessions, although there is only a 5 in use.
What could be happening? Is it possible that active sessions are running JBoss ? How can we force it to shut JBoss those connections?
